Phoenix

I don't know what is disturbing me,
Is it the painful unwanted memories ?
Or , urge of the soul to be free.
I tried to calm , but unable to be.

Those memories I had locked,
In the remote corner of my brain,
I don't know how they found a way out,
To come and haunt me all over again.

An incident made my life so worse,
It turned from a bliss to curse.
I feel the pain deep inside,
Tried hard but it didn't subside.

With each passing night and day
Instead of abating, anguish has grown,
Living with a hurt, agonizing soul,
Surrounded by many , but walking alone.

As I am trying to word my pain,
Though that still remains the same.
What I need to have peace  I wonder,
Do I need some more time to recover
or is it  permanent deep slumber?

Why am I unable to overcome all obstacles?
Unbound my soul from all shackles,
Why I am not able to be firm and decide,
Like the phoenix ,that from the ashes rise.

    burned and aflame

    the symbol of phoenix is to be reborn from past
    those stuck with their misery get inspiration from it
    Rising above all odds...
    breaking the boundaries(rebirth)
    engulfed in fire ..a beacon of hope
    these are the qualities that characterise the phoenix
